Reviews – II Tone and Mr4Twenty – Chicken Talk

First and foremost I have to congratulate II Tone, Mr4twenty and
all of Black Rain Entertainment for landing on the Billboard
Independent Charts debuting at #6 and has remained at #7 for the last
two weeks continuing to move units. Also II Tone’s solo album which I
reviewed earlier this year “New Direction” is currently charting at the
same time. This is huge for Memphis rap and independent rap all over
considering how hard it is in this era for artists to get attention,
especially with some hard shit like Black Rain. They are nothing like
these new age mumblin’ swag rappers, they spit hard street
shit over hard beats.

This is that M-Town real shit! This is the label that put out solo and group projects
with the Late Lord Infamous. You already know Lord would be proud!

With that being said Chicken Talk is one of the hardest street albums to
drop in 2017. With songs like Sell Out, South Memphis, and Bang,Bang you
can’t go wrong! Bang, Bang also has a dope video and there are features on
the project most notable from ATL flame spitter T-Rock. Another track I keep
playing is Say No More which is about gettin’ paid by any means necessary.

All the beats are hard as f-ck.Mr4twenty has a dope flo too, he put out an
album recently called Smoking Jacket which was also hella dope.Once again can’t
stress enough how dope it is to see some real cats hits the Billboard Charts
with some hard street music! This is A huge victory for the underground!
